Imaam of al-Masjid-ul-Haraam* and Judge in the High Court of Makkah, Shaykh Saalih Aal Taalib is visiting Masjid at-Taqwa this Saturday, 24th May, inshaaAllaah.

The Shaykh is scheduled to arrive by 12:15 pm. He will lead Zuhr prayer and give a lecture afterwards, inshaaAllaah.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity – the first time an Imaam of one of the two sacred mosques is visiting New Zealand.

You can meet him personally. The Shaykh speaks some English.

He holds a Masters’ degree in Comparative Fiqh from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh and a Postgraduate Certificate in International Law from Georgetown University, Washington DC.

The Shaykh has been an imaam of al-Masjid-ul-Haraam for the past twelve years.

He will be accompanied by Abd-ul-Kareem ar-Rais, Head of the Department of Muslim Organizations and Minorities, Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Riyadh and also by Ahmed al-Johani, the Saudi Consul-General in Auckland.
